The Wes-Del girls golf team wrapped up its season Saturday at the IHSAA Sectional #17 at Crestview Golf Course in Muncie. The Warriors finished seventh in the team standings with a score of 410. Yorktown captured the sectional championship with a 309, followed by Delta at 323 and Monroe Central at 331. Addison Huffman led the Warriors with an 86, shooting a 44 on the front nine and a 42 on the back. Her performance earned her one of the three individual qualifying spots for the IHSAA Regional, extending her season for another week. Addison tied Wapahani's Lexi Taylor at 86 among the individual qualifiers. Wes-Del's remaining scores were Keira Banister with a 106, Quinn Slopsema with a 105, Ruthy Leman with a 113, and Annabelle Carter with a 115. Congratulations to Addison on advancing to the regional, and congratulations to Keira, Quinn, Ruthy, and Annabelle on completing their seasons and representing Wes-Del throughout the year. The Warriors showed tremendous growth over the course of the season and finished the year competing on the IHSAA tournament stage. Good luck to Addison as she represents Wes-Del at the IHSAA Regional!
