Wes-Del used a dominant rushing attack and several big plays on both sides of the ball Friday night, piling up 436 yards of total offense and scoring seven touchdowns. The Warriors rushed for 373 yards on 31 carries, averaging 12 yards per attempt. Senior Rhyker Mauck led the ground game with 169 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, including a 61-yard run. Zach Gillam added 94 yards and a touchdown on just two carries, highlighted by a 77-yard run. Eli Wright rushed for 38 yards and a score, while Haiden Hassett added 32 yards and a touchdown. Wes-Del also struck through the air when junior quarterback Noah Perdue connected with Ryan Hyre for a 63-yard touchdown. Perdue finished 1-of-2 passing for 63 yards and a score. The roster lists Perdue as a junior quarterback and Hyre as a junior wide receiver/cornerback. Hyre made his presence felt on defense as well, returning an interception 50 yards for a touchdown to give him two scores on the night. Perdue also recorded an interception as the Warriors forced multiple turnovers. Defensively, Wes-Del recorded 12 tackles for loss. Eli Wright and freshman Luke Fields led the team with nine tackles apiece, while Ranen DuBois finished with six. Wright also recorded 4.5 tackles for loss, Easton Stewart had two, and Braxton Harmeyer added 1.5. The Warriors' balanced effort resulted in five rushing touchdowns, one receiving touchdown and one interception return for a score as Wes-Del continued to make explosive plays on both sides of the football.
