Over the weekend, the JV and Varsity boys' basketball teams traveled to Randolph Southern on Friday night to take on the Rebels and played another MEC opponent, Cowan, on Saturday night at home. The JV started each night off with a victory, defeating Randolph Southern 40-19 and Cowan 49-26. Rhyker Mauck led the JV team in scoring on Friday night with 12 points, followed by Brody Becerra with 11 points. On Saturday night, the JV Warriors were led in scoring by Elijah Durr with 13 points, followed by Rhyker Mauck with 9 points. The Varsity Warriors defeated the Rebels 56-48 on Friday night and defeated Cowan 67-56 on Saturday night. The team improved each night, playing with intensity on both sides of the floor. On Saturday, the Warriors had a season low 8 turnovers as a team and shot 50% from 3pt range. Corben Price (4/4 3pt FG) and Grayson Mealy (2/2 3pt FG) led the Warriors from 3pt range shooting 100% combined from beyond the arc.
