The varsity boys' basketball team traveled to Alexandria-Monroe High School on Friday night to take on the #2 team in 2A, the Wapahani Raiders, in the IHSAA sectional #40 semi-final contest. The Warriors had previously lost to the Raiders in the regular season 22-62 on their home floor. The Raiders once again jumped out to a big lead at the half on Friday night but the Warriors continued to battle, winning the third and fourth quarters. However, it was not enough to overcome their large halftime deficit and the Warriors ultimately fell to the Raiders 46-67. The Raiders went on to win the championship game on Saturday by a score of 59-26. The Wes-Del basketball program would like to thank seniors, Trey Adams, Brady Burden, Jacob Grant, Corben Price, Jack Rooker, and Sawyer Slopsema for all of their contributions over their four years in the program.
