The WDMS Cross Country team had a great night on Friday at the Selma Invitational. Rylie Paskiewicz place 1st overall in the girls' 3k race with a time of 11:05. That was over ninety seconds in front of the second place finisher! While this wasn't a new PR, or a new course record, it was still a great performance for her. On that same evening, four other Lady Warriors achieved a PR. Jaci Long, Ady McCutcheon, Elsie Swift, and Tinley Pierce now have a new time to try and beat before the season is over. Amree Nielson finished second for the team, and missed setting a new PR by a few seconds. Eli Cook placed third overall in the boys race with a time of 10:48.91. This was a few seconds off of his fastest time, but it was still a great performance. Beckett Lamb, Carson McCutcheon, Jeremiah Schmidt, Ethan Jackson, Andrew Dillard, and Allen Nielson also set a new PR on Friday night, with Allen shaving off almost two minutes! The Warriors were hoping for a top 5 performance, but settle for a 6th place overall finish. They have a few meets left before the end of the season. Go Warriors!
