The middle school cross country tream competed in the Delaware County Middle School Championship on Wednesday night. While they didn't bring home a team trophy, we did have a county champion and a country runner-up. Rylie Paskiewicz finished first for the ladies with a time of 10:47. We're waiting to find out if this is a new Delaware County record! Also scoring for the Lady Warriors on Wednesay were AmRee Nielson (19), Elsie Swift (29), Jaci Long (37), and Kassidee Fears (38). All of these ladies will be returning next year as middle school runners! Eli Cook was hoping for a first place finish for the boys, but settled for second with a time of 10:44. Luke Humbert (25) Beckett Lamb (26), Carson McCutcheon (30), and Jeremiah Schmidt (41). Cook, Humbert, and Lamb will all be moving up to the high school team next year, which means there are opportunities for the rest of the Warriors to fill in those spots. They have big shoes to fill, but I'm confident they can do it!
