7th Grade vs Cowan (38 - 17) Win 7th Grade vs Daleville (41 - 24) Win 8th Grade vs Cowan (33 - 19) Win 8th Grade vs Daleville (44 - 28) Win Both the 7th grad and 8th grade Warrior boys' basketball teams won the Wes-Del Invitational over the weekend. The 8th grade team started slow the first game, trailing at halftime 7-8. They missed a few shots they would normally make in the first half but in the second half they were able to make some shots, allowing their team to set up their press. The press ended up being too much for Cowan to handle resulting in a Warrior win. Jaxon Drumm led the team in scoring with 12 points followed by Gavin Perdue with 9 points. In the championship game against Daleville, the 8th grade team dominated from start to finish, jumping out to a 7-0 start. The team was able to press a majority of the game causing Daleville's ball handlers problems. Scoring was balanced with Micah Love and Rylan Campbell leading the way with 13 points and 10 points respectively. The unselfish play and constant defensive pressure were keys to victories in both games.
