The JV boys' basketball team defeated Alexandria-Monroe on Saturday night in their home opener with a final score of 37-33. The game was close until Alexandria-Monroe made a big run in the second quarter. However, The Warriors responded and battled back to get within 5 points heading into the 4th quarter. It was back and forth late in the 4th quarter with both teams capturing a 1-point lead with less than a minute to play. In the end, the Warriors made the right plays at the right time and finished the game by making free throws to put the Tigers away. The JV Warriors will be back in action on the road next Saturday when they travel to Eastern Hancock to take on the Royals at 6pm.
