The Varsity boys' basketball team took on Alexandria-Monroe on Saturday night in their home opener. The first quarter was wild with both teams turning the ball over quite a bit. However, the Warriors finished the first quarter with a one point lead. Wes-Del settled in and handled Alexandria-Monroe's pressure in the remaining three quarters and ultimately ended the game with a 64-48 victory. The Warriors will be back in action next Saturday as they travel to Eastern Hancock to open their Mid-Eastern Conference play. JV will tip off at 6pm with the varsity to follow.
